Living healthy can be a lot of fun, especially when you’re doing so with people who care about your progress as much as you do. Even though martial arts (and especially Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) is a one-on-one activity, we still consider ourselves as part of a team.
How are we handling COVID-19?
Even though we are face to face with many people, we are still taking precautions in our facilities:
- As always, we ask all of our team to stay away if they are showing any symptoms of illness, or have been in direct contact with someone who shows symptoms
- We have hand sanitizing stations at both of our locations
- We clean the mats with a germicidal bleach solution every day
- Masks are optional (not mandatory)

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is the most efficient martial art on the planet; allowing you to control your opponent with minimal effort, and without causing harm to each other. BJJ also has self-defense applications that maximize one’s efficiency to fend off an attacker.
Professor Chad Petersen is a BJJ Black belt and accomplished teacher and competitor, and will help guide you through your BJJ journey. Chad’s professor and Team Insight head instructor Alex Henley is an IBJJF and NAGA Champion with years of instructional experience with adults and children of all body types. Alex is also a certified (civilian) Judo Black Belt and Level 1 Army Combatives Trainer. He and our other instructors can help you hone the best strategy for your size, weight, strengths and weaknesses.
