Clint Talley began training in traditional Judo when he was 12 years old at Tim Joe’s School of Judo & Aikido in Amarillo, where he received his black belt at the age of 20. He stayed with the school for a little over ten years until he relocated in 2007 and was unable to continue training regularly. In 2017, he found some freedom from work, renewed his studies of Judo, and began studying BJJ at Insight. Although Clint has never competed in Judo tournaments, he holds true to the founding principles of the sport: focused effort for maximum efficiency, and mutual welfare and benefit for all. Clint initially learned a form of recreational Judo as opposed to competition Judo, but is working on growing his skills and experience to help build a competition team at Insight. He is a certified coach through the United States Judo Association.
